About Mary
My Story
I am a self-taught enthusiastic chef who enjoys putting joy on a plate and love sharing my fun and easy recipes with others.
Cooking has long been a passion of mine from an early age. I had one of the best Home Economic teachers in my teen years and my love for cooking and developing recipes grew from there.
I owned a very successful restaurant in Scotland called the Heron Gallery & Bistro. Here I created a unique concept of combining deliciously prepared fresh food using local produce and covering the walls in fine Scottish Contemporary art - all of which was for sale. Our diners could enjoy a lovely meal while viewing some of Scotland's most renowned artists. I was a wonderful concept and was a destination stop for foodies and art collectors alike.
I am also an author and have 3 cookbooks available for purchase. Mary's Kitchen - My Favourite Recipes, I Love Soup and I Love Indian Food.
